Just a few of my MANY poems I have written. Enjoy!

Forever
Tonight
Walking alone
In the moonlight on the sand
Waves breaking on the shore
God's playground
Peace
This makes you grow closer
Closer to God
Closer to love
I turn to you, love sparkling
In your gorgeous eyes
I want to be with you
Behind me, I pull out the case
and ever so slowly take out the dimond ring
drop to knees
take your hand
marry me
be with me
forever

The Last Call
Early Tuesday morning
The telephone rings
Waking her up
From a wonderful dream
“Hey, it’s just me”
Came the voice on the line
“I wanted to call and tell you
‘I love you’ one more time.”
“You see, people have taken over the plane
And has the pilot overpowered
And…I think we’re heading toward
The New York towers”
She freezes in shock
Tears filling her eyes
This isn’t right
Her husband can’t die
She silently cries
And says “I love you, too”
“Don’t worry, the kid’s will be fine
I will always stay true”
The phone goes dead
As fear crosses her face
She rocks her son in her arms
And says “Daddy’s going to a better place”
She slowly turns on the TV
And has to sit
The reporter is saying
The Twin Towers have just been hit.

In A Moment
He hugged his girlfriend goodbye
And slowly drove away
She stood watching him fade in the distance
And wondered if they’d be together someday
He drove through the night with a smile
Thinking of their love
He glanced at the clock, It was later than he thought
He needed to hurry up
His curfew was in 5 minutes
To make it on time would be tricky
He pushed the accelerator just a little more
Doing 80 miles in a 50
The sudden curve in the road
Took him by surprise
The truck flipped and glass shattered
He thought about her one more time
The police, fire trucks, everyone was there
She got the call and couldn’t believe her ears
He was in a wreck, and now in a coma
Her eyes filled with tears
Minutes turned to hours, hours to days
Sitting in the lonely hospital chair
Holding his hand, and although he couldn’t hear her
She prayed he’d somehow realize
That she was there
She still remembers that horrible day now
The doctor whispered “he’s gone”
She dropped to her knees and cried
Feeling a grief she had never known
How I wish this was fiction, just something I wrote
But every word is true
This is a very real story
Of a guy and girl I knew
The guy was a Christian
But the intent of this poem is to show
Heaven, Hell, and death are all real
At anytime you could go
He was only a teenager
But his life here was through
Are you ready for your name to be called?
Because His next choice…
Could be YOU.
